Welcome to Eldesign, thank you for visiting my page! My name is Elisa and I am based in New Zealand.

Growing up, I was a rhythmic gymnast, which is where my love for all things sparkly began! Back then, when I saw the amazing costumes worn by top athletes, I wanted to have beautiful costumes like that too! From the first attempts of making my own leotards, I noticed that I am happiest when I am creating and surrounded by sparkles. So, with the help of my mum, I started learning how to sew. When I began competing in my own costumes, I received many compliments regarding the outfits and was soon asked to make leotards for other gymnasts. Slowly this grew and expanded as the word spread. Fast forward about ten years, and now I design and create for all sorts of styles of dance and gymnastics! Unfortunately, due to injury and autoimmune illness, I had to give up dancing, but my love for the sport lives on through creating costumes. Over the years, my creations have been sent to many different countries, and have been worn at world championships and at local festivals, by tiny tots and adult performers. I cherish each collaboration. Each piece is made with a tonne of sparkles and a whole lot of love.

My mission is to create stunning and unique dance costumes to make you feel amazing.

I design, make and embellish each individual costume to suit your needs, but also create ready to ship pieces so keep an eye out for those! I want to create costumes that are interesting, bring new ideas and techniques to make you stand out from the crowd in the world of performing arts and sports!
